Summary

He gets shocked and surprised. He sees Brahaspati.

Old Friends Reunited.

He is shocked to see Brahaspati there. Thousands of questions begin to arise in his mind, how a human being can survive even after dying. Then he meets Brahaspati. The story begins with the reconciliation of two friends. Upon meeting Brahaspati in the Naga capital Panchavati, Shiva learns about “Somaras”, and its ill effects on people. Brahaspati says that a large amount of water was required to make Somaras. As a result, the water of the Saraswati River is becoming less. The waste generated in the process of building the Somaras is dumped into the Tsangpo River in the Himalayan Hills, which later flows into the Braunga region in the form of the Brahmaputra, and results in a devastating plague. Apart from this, the cause of birth of Naga babies is also Somaras, as it results in multiplication of cells at a very high rate which leads to their deformation and egress.

Journey to ujjain

To find out the answers to his questions, he sets out on a journey to Ujjain to meet Gopal, the chief of the Vasudeva Pandits. They point out that the Vayuputra members are an ancient tribe left by the former Mahadev Lord Rudra, inhabiting the remote lands of Pariha in the west. Who trains a member of his tribe as Neelkanth. Talking to Gopal, Shiva came to the conclusion that it was his uncle Manobhau, a former Vayuputra member, who trained him as Neelkanth. Due to which he got the Herb at the right time and again at a certain time, his throat became blue due to the intake of somaras.

Seeing that Meluha is the building center of Somaras, Shiva declares a holy war on the kingdom and appeals to the people to stop taking Somaras.

Protector of his motherland

Parvateshwar decides to join Meluha, as he feels it is his duty to protect his motherland; Parvateshwar is a perfect man walking on the path of his Lord, Shri Ram, upon seeing Shiva also allows him to go to Meluha. Shiva also understand that Maharishi Bhrigu is the mastermind behind the attack on Panchvati, conspiring with Swadwip Emperor Dileep and Daksha.

Karthik and Ganesh go on to attack Ayodhya and successfully prevent them from assisting Meluha. Shiva captures the city of Mrittikavatti and imprisons the citizens in the Meluhan army led by Vidyunmali, who considers Shiva to be a deceiver. He runs away and persuades Bhrigu and Parvateshwar to attack and defeat Sati’s army by a thousand Meluhan soldiers.

The search of divine weapon

After this defeat, Shiva gave up his plan to attack Meluha. Shiva knew that it would be foolish to attack  directly on Meluha, that is why he left for Vayuputras with Gopal; They wanted to procure deadly Brahmastra weapons, so that the Meluha were threatened with peace.

The search for Brahmastra joins him with Mithra, the chief of the Vayuputras, who turns out to be his maternal uncle. Mithra explains to the Vayuputras that Shiva is the real Neelkanth and grants them Pashupatistra who act on a specific goal rather than destroy everything like Brahmastra.

Meanwhile, Parvateshwar uses the decoy ships to give Kali an impression that he was going to attack Panchavati. Horrified, Kali takes the bait and sets out with the finest Naga soldiers in their quest. However, she realizes that this is a trick and she returns.

Deceitful death

Daksha planned to assassinate Shiva and sent Vidyanamali to obtain the Egyptian assassin. He outlines a peace treaty for Shiva but in his absence, Sati attends the peace conference and discovers the truth. She fights the killers bravely, but is killed. The war ends with Sati’s death, but an enraged Shiva decides to use Pashupatistra to annihilate Devpuri forever.

Parvateshwar, Anandmayi, Veerini decide to stay back in the city and die with it, but Karthik persuades Bhrigu to survive and share his vast knowledge with future generations. Shiva left the weapon and ended the history of Devagiri, as well as the Somaras manufacturing units under the city.

Goddess Shakti

After that, Shiva cremates Sati and sends his ashes to 52 Peethas, which are later known as Shakti Peethas. Shiva departs towards Mount Kailash, where he spends the rest of his days peacefully, though daily he remembers Sati. Ganesh, Kali and Karthik become famous as Gods for their skills all over India. They avenge Sati’s death by wiping out the entire clan of Egyptian assassins. To ensure that the Somara is not built again on a large scale, the course of the Yamuna is diverted to the east, thus the Saraswati River dries up. Bhrigu continued teaching and exchanged his knowledge in a book called Bhrigu Sanhita. Sati’s death was not forgotten and she was later famous as Goddess Shakti.

And this is how the book ends.
