Wings of Fire is a book of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and Arun Tiwari and published on 1999. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was an Indian aerospace scientist and politician who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. And Arun Kumar Tiwari is an Indian missile scientist, author, and professor. He has written several books and co-authored 5 books with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The genre of this, Autobiography and Inspirational Fiction. This story is from his birth to his journey of life till he became Missile Man. Summary

The story begins with Kalam’s childhood. He was born in Rameswaram’s middle class family and spent his childhood in Rameswaram with his brother-in-law and partner Ahmed Jalal Uddin. Ahmed tells him about literature and scientific research. Samusuddin was also with him, who was the only news paper distributor in his city. He talks about his childhood education and college, and also life at MIT.

After completing the engineer, he was in front of two opportunities. First Air force and Second Ministry of Defense, Director of Technical Development and Production. He applied for both but was selected in the Ministry of Defense. Later he met Dr. Vikram Sarabhai who helped him a lot. Due to Sarabhai’s guidance and hard work, he was able to touch the sky’s height.

Due to all the successful trials, he was later asked to make missiles for India. Then surface to surface, Prithvi. Tactical for vehicle repair defense, Akash. Anti-tank missile, nag. And took decision to make medium range ballistic missile, Agni.

Prithvi was tested on 1988. The launch date of Agni was kept on 30 April 1989. Agni Missile’s team has more than 500 scientists. Launching preparations were made and the surrounding villages were evacuated at the time of launching. The entire project was started 14 seconds later and the problem was fixed. But the station ordered it to stop and the launch was postponed.

The newspaper and media made a lot of fun of it and this made the team disappointed but still the project continued to work and Agni finally completed the flight after 5 years of hard work. Likewise India also joined all those countries which had such power and technology. Later, Kalam was awarded the title of Missile Main.

Those who earn such a big name out of a small house are one of the millions. And so was APJ Abdul Kalam. Kalam’s life is described in detail here. The book is full of information. The book is also full of the thoughts of Abdul Kalam.

Both Kalam and Arun Tiwari have written their ideology together, which makes the book interesting. At any point you will not even get a sign of boredom. It is simple to read book.

The language style of the book was simple. No difficult words to be seen. Talking about character development. All characters in this book who appeared to play their own roles correctly. Enjoyed reading it.

There is so much knowledge and good things that everyone can extract from this book. How to face life, resolve conflicts, to put the country first, personal need always later. Keep a clean heart, focus on a strong faith in the Almighty and they have all achieved success. Every time he did not succeed, but did more and more work, corrected and believed that to be successful one had to win himself. Detailed description of how great things can be achieved through simple ideas.
